Message | I'd be for one of the last two options: 1) The law bans extradition to countries with the death penalty or cruel and inhumane punishment 2) No citizen may be extradited |
Date | 03:36:32, August 31, 2005 CET | From | Leviathan Party | To | Debating the Extradition Act (Discussion) |
Message | The second option is diplomatically infeasible; we will have an incredibly difficult time building strong international relationships if we do not extradite citizens to nations they are accused of a crime in. We support the former option, not to extradite to nations that apply the death penalty, and would add to that any nation that uses torture as well. |
Date | 16:28:26, September 01, 2005 CET | From | Protectorate Party | To | Debating the Extradition Act (Discussion) |
Message | Though we are against capital punishment, we feel that other nations have the right to govern themselves. Thus if a crime is committed in another nation we should consider each case independently and not have a blanket policy. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
Random quote: “The people's war isn't just a war of destruction, it is also a war of construction. We will build new facilities, new hospitals, new farms. We will seek to improve the lives of the people around us. This struggle will be as costly as the struggle against the bourgeois army, and indeed will be even more damaging to the enemy.” - Comrade X, former Hulstrian politician |
