Bill: #10011 Cabinet Opposition
Details
Submitted by[?]: bran1322 Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2504
Description[?]:
Associated current law: None. Description: To simulate more real world cabinets as well as encourage more parody among parties. Development: Most Presidents for fairness as well as to better represent the population, has at least one member of any opposition party included in the cabinet, generally in a minor cabinet spot. This law would mandate that the incoming President who has defeated the incumbent President must propose at least one cabinet position to any opposition parties, not necessarily from the previous President's party. If the opposition party refuses the appointment then the President can disregard this rule and propose anyone to any position, thus preventing that minor party from trying to leverage a better position or more positions. Money source: N/A Percentage of approval: I would like everyone's approval on this bill. Additional Data: I was going to propose this whoever became President this past election. |

Message | For the liberal block, we will not always have the Presidency and I would still like some of you others to still be in the cabinet long after I get crushed someday. |

Message | Why not logic: There are times when no "block" or allainces are made, thus giving the government 8 parties to participate in the cabinet... reparting 13 (or 12) spots between 8 parties is a headache. |

Message | Well it doesn't have to be 8 parties. For example, NPPE and TB add ISU so for them it takes three. Realistically though, there will almost always be alliances of some kind, but no matter who wins the people of Egelion, liberals to conservatives, will have to live under one party's rule. This proposal will help create more equality. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
