Considering the death penalty to be a right and just penalty for capital offences, the Assemblee Nationale decides the following: Article 1 The death penalty can be executed for intentional manslaughter, espionage and high treason Article 2 The death penalty can only be executed for espionage and hight treason when they are committed in times of war. Article 3 The death penalty can only be executed for intentional manslaughter when the offender has killed more than one man, no matter whtether he did kill at the same time or at different time. Article 4 The death penalty can only be executed when the judges agree unuanimously on it. Article 5 The death penalty shall only be executed by lethal injection, firing squad, hanging or by the guillotine. Article 6 The Government can only pardon a sentenced person or converse his death penalty into lifelong imprisonment after permission is obtained by an Act of the Assemblee Nationale |
