Message | No. This is crazy. If we're eradicating a disease, everyone must be vaccinated in order to be fully sure it cannot appear again. We cannot allow exceptions for each and everyone. People who're afraid of needles hide would behind ideological reasons, saying "we don't believe in vacinations", but com'on, what's not to believe, medicine is a science, and vacinations have proven to be beneficial. Allowing to refuse vacinations out of religious reasons is just as stupid. This could open doors to refusing medical treatment on these grounds, because their clerical told them human body is a work of god which should not be messed with, and if the patient dies it's God's will, or things like that. Well, to me that's bullocks. |

Message | A parent should not be given the ability to risk the health of their children in any situation. Unless a parent has as much training as the doctors that suggest the vaccine, it should be mandatory. |

Message | So much for religious freedom and taking parental rights away. I guess JUP does not care about parental rights at all which is something we have stated in thepast. |
Date | 18:40:21, December 24, 2007 CET | From | Monacelli Party | To | Debating the Vaccination Freedom Act |
Message | is there not a general agreement that the rights of the people are greater than the rights of the individual. this is why separation is logically sought, this is why marraige is a civil issue for the most part, this is why health and disease prevention is a scientific responsibility of the governing body for the people. individuals should not be permitted to disrupt things as beneficial as vaccinations. We agree with GLDS and JUP. |
Date | 06:00:42, December 25, 2007 CET | From | JDW Tukarali Greens Party | To | Debating the Vaccination Freedom Act |
Message | oppose. parents have the right to send their children to private schools, but they do not have the right to have their children spread infectious diseases. this is not the same as allowing parents the ability whether to chose to give their children medical aid. I do favor that particular libertarian position. |
