Bill: Change of national sport.
Details
Submitted by[?]: Konservativa Respublikano Parti
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2510
Description[?]:
Currently the national sport is jousting, a most barbaric practise that regularily involves the maiming and killing of several horses. We recommend the national sport be changed to hurling, a most insane sport that is as safe as any. Should be fun. |

Message | The sport certainly should be changed from one that recalls memories of a bygone autocratic era, but must it be hurling (this response partially comes from the fact that the ZRSP has no idea what hurling is and would dearly appreciate a description)? We recommend that it be chess, a refined game, readily available to anyone, that emphasizes no luck and only rewards diligence, creativity, and logic, which are what should be emphasized in life. |

Message | OK, allow me to explain what hurling is. The sport is a team game, with 15 a side. The goal of the game is to get a small ball (smaller than a baseball) called a sliotar through the opposing team's goalposts. In the goalposts there is a bar. If you get the ball over the bar, you score a point. If you get the ball under the bar, you score three points. To get the ball between the goalposts, players use a special axe-shaped stick called a camán. It's the fastest team sport in the world. The reasons I chose hurling are listed below; 1. Brilliant game to watch 2. Promotes teamwork, athleticism and agility. 3. It's also a lot of fun to play. I will admit I was a little biased in my choice (Hurling's an Irish sport) |

Message | Well we actually now have some idea what Hurling is (Travel Channel), but thank you for posting anyway. We still like Chess (or Sex, we would certainly not be averse to that, but it might make us a mockery amongst other nations, albeit a very satisfied mockery) What about Community Service? We will actually be rewarding people for helping others, and actively encouragin others to do it. Instead of rewarding inborn talent, muscles, and steroids, we reward altruism and a community-oriented conscience. |

Message | Hurling is an amateur sport. Which apparently is the fastest field game in the world. |

Message | With all due respect, we cannot allow a sport as boring as cricket to be our national sport. We have tried very hard to like it, we have sat through games, which last forever, and it is simply BORING. But we must concur, Sex seems like an exceptional and novel idea. |

Message | How about this: we incorporate hurling, gaelic football, 20-20 cricket (which isn't all that bad of a sport), community service, chess and sex as the national sports? |

Message | We like the above idea, except without the community service. OOC: Although twenty20 cricket is an improvement, it's still quite boring. Just not as boring |

Message | Fine, scrap the community service. It doesn't seem right to have 5 national sports, but this whole matter is rather pointless. |

Message | The idea was to have something other than a sport that involves animal cruelty as the national sport, |
