Message | We think the national anthem could use changing, as well. What is the significance of the current anthem? |
Date | 09:02:19, December 28, 2007 CET | From | 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō) | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | Well, essentially nothing. It's a poem from the H.P. Lovecraft book 'The King is Yellow'. AUP changed it along time back before any of us, when he was the only party. |
Date | 03:30:58, December 30, 2007 CET | From | Sekowan Communist Party | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | We propose L'Internationale. |
Date | 08:47:39, January 02, 2008 CET | From | 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō) | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | The Internationale is by definition an international song, not really one meant to be a national anthem. |
Date | 18:11:33, January 02, 2008 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | It's also hideously politically biased. A more neutral anthem would be preferred. |
Date | 16:59:41, January 07, 2008 CET | From | 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō) | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | I don't suppose anyone is actually talented enough to make an original one that's good? If not I can make one from some altered lyrics of a song that the vast majority of people will have never heard. |
Date | 17:03:14, January 07, 2008 CET | From | Normand Pluralist Party | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | I could actually probably do it, but it wouldn't be worth the effort unless people would support it. What kinds of things would we like to see in the anthem, and what kinds of things would people definitely not like to see? |
Date | 00:33:57, January 08, 2008 CET | From | Sekowan Communist Party | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | Religious references would be entirely unacceptable. |
Date | 03:41:10, January 09, 2008 CET | From | 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō) | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | As SCP said, no religious things, no reference to socioeconomics (capitalism, socialism or Communism), not dreery and depressing sounding like the current one is. Perhaps, with these basics you could write one out, and we could all collectively edit and decide on a final version. |
Date | 22:41:59, January 10, 2008 CET | From | Revolutionary State Socialist Party | To | Debating the OOC: Discussions for the Changing of the National Anthem |
Message | I think we should focus on just Sekowo, not its religion/race/wahtever. |
