Bill: Education Until 16 Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2105
Description[?]:
he lowering of the age at which education will be compulsory is to allow those children who feel they will not receive any benefit from a continuation of their education. They will be able to leave school once they are 16 years old. 16 is a good age at which to consider your options and the compulsory education they will have received will help them succeed in life. There will be exams at the age of 16 which would be taken by everyone to determine academic performance. As everyone takes them, they can always come back and go on to the next level of education if they decided at 16 to leave school. The example being a 16 year old who did well but didnt go to higher education due to money problems at home, once he had earned money they could come back and do the further education that they did not do immediately. |

Message | Against. It's bad enough the government refuses to provide a real education to students - but they might as well try to get the most from it they can. 16 is too young. Without trained skills, life skills or the ability to think and make adult deceisions 16 year olds rarely make a success of themselves by leaving school early. |

Message | "Indifferent. We will therefore vote with our Freedom Party allies." We, the CDP, feel the same as our coalition partners in the Liberal Imperialists. OCC: YAY!!! If I lived in Rutania I wouldn't have to go to school anymore. :P |
