Under this law, a national parks system will be re-established. Former national parks now under state jurisdiction shall once again be the responsibility of the national government, which has the reources to manage them properly and the abaility to make wise stewardship decisions for the entire Lodamun ecosystem, preserving the best of all. Those former national parks sold off to private buyers will remain private unless deemed to be of overwhelming ecological significance, in which case they may be bought back by the government at market values. The national government will be responsible for Lodamun's portion of the East Coast Maritime Preservation Area. The restored national parks system shall be named in honour of Damien Vrylar, a distinguished former President-Councillor of Lodamun, notorious bald man, and lover of the environment. |
