MessageWhat is your justification for the confiscation of privately owned land?

If everyone else must purchase land for their vital works then, it follows, so must the government.

MessageCitizens owe a duty of loyalty and obedience to the state and its government. The needs of the state as a whole outweigh the individual's wish for compensation.

MessageThe needs of the state and individual are irrelevant in this case. The real issue here is the theft of property already owned by individuals.

How a government can mandate the imprisonment of individuals for theft of property while they legalize the theft of property, so long as it is carried out by themselves, is beyond me. Such a hyprocritical policy as this should not be implemented.

MessageA prosperous nation depends on the building of vital infrastructure, such as freeways. The government must be able to build these without being held hostage by the free market.

MessageBy associating economic strangulation with a free market only uncovers the vast ignorance of the United Party's understanding of the matter.

And what good does the 'seizure' of land bring to those displaced by eviction of property owners and it's occupants?

The government, nor any other entity, must not be given the ability to force the seizure of land, or in other words, to STEAL privately owned land.

MessageA free market can, in this case, strangle the development of needed infrastructure, enabling holders of land vital to said infrastructure to hold development hostage by refusing to sell but for exorbitant prices. We already have laws in place to make sure that owners are paid fair market value for their land, and a system that allows them to appeal the decision.

MessageTaking another person's property without the consent of the property owner is theft and nothing else, regardless of any pleasant word that may be employed to distract everyone from the true nature of this policy.

MessageThe government has a bad habit of stealing other people's land and resources, it's well past time for that to end.
