Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Centre Party of Gaduridos

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2106

Description[?]:

In order to ensure that energy producers do not use a potential monopoly position to price gouge, the prices for household use of electricity will be capped at the cost of production plus 20%. This Department of Economic Affairs will appoint an independent Board of Energy Prices (BEP) to oversee the setting of maximum prices in each state. The BEP will meet at least once a month to reassess the maximum prices and to hear any appeals from producers and consumers.
