The United Republics shall continue to enforce sanctions against Deltaria including: 1. All trade to and from Deltaria will be blocked except certain categories such as food and medicine. These exceptions can only be made in cases of extreme emergency with the approval of the Foreign Minister. 2. Diplomatic relations with Deltaria are formally broken. Lodamun may not send ambassadors to Deltaria, and credentials of Deltarian ambassadors will not be accepted. 3. Lodamese citizens may not visit Deltaria. Violators will have their passports revoked among other possible legal actions. Deltarians entering Lodamun must complete a more in-depth security screening than visitors from other nations. |

Message | A conference is planned in Deltárska Federácia. During the last conference - the so-called "Conference for Change" - our Foreign Minister, Karen Taylor, was abducted and tortured. Negotiations only secured her release after Lodamun under then Defense Minister Elisa Lalo assembled an international coalition threatening a naval blockade. (This crisis prompted massive increases in defense spending still in effect today and adoption of a "strong navy policy" modernizing and expanding the Lodamese fleet.) In light of this crisis, Lodamun expelled Deltarian diplomats http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=145954 , banned all trade with Deltaria http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=146497 , and Minister Taylor banned all travel to Deltaria under her assumed powers as Foreign Minister (has never been challenged.) I think it's clear that Lodamun should NOT send a representitive to this conference, but I seek comments from other parties on this issue, our current diplomatic relations with Deltaria, our military funding and stance, or any other related issue. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
Random quote: "In Germany they first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up." - Pastor Martin Niemoller |
