Funny how a party that supports government sponsored foreign aid can say that last line.

MessageIf that was the truth, industry would not have preceded commerce.

MessageIndustry did not preceed commerce. Agriculture camee first, then commerce, then industry. (Check your history).

Opposed in all ways possible.

MessageOOC you will find if you go and do some research on this that sale of surplus crops preceded any industrial activities. These sales were of course barter sales, but sales all the same. That is commerce. The first real industry, by which I mean manufacturing, not services (which are incorrectly labelled industry when they are not) was the production of alcoholoic drinks (wine and beer) and the minting of coins. Check pour history rather than just say "wrong" in an authoritative and incompetent manner.

MessageBefore farming people (homo sapiens) travelled in hunter-gatherer communities and used a great variety of tools. While there is little hard evidence from this period it's reasonable to suggest that the best tool-maker in the group often made tools for others.

However, even before homo sapiens, neanderthals were big in industry. A valley in Africa contains what is modestly suggested to be more than a million axe-heads. They range from unprocessed rock (carried from three miles away) to finished axe-heads, and include a section of damaged heads thought to be returned for repair. There is, so far, no evidence that neanderthals ever farmed.
