Bill: Libertarian defense

Details

Submitted by[?]: AM Radical Libertarian Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2514

Description[?]:

The more doctrinaire elements of the party have insisted that we need to put this back in process to see if the current state of affairs have made these proposals any more acceptable.

It is inherent in the policy of Libertarianism that citizens have the right to defend themselves from enemies, foreign and domestic. This bill gives them the means to do so.

MessageNo, guns kill. That thing about a history of mental illness does not help. Just because someone has not been mentally ill before doesn't mean that they can't become mentally ill after they have purchased a gun.

MessageNo; people kill, sometimes using a gun. People have been killing since Caine and Able, guns have been around for the last 500 years.

MessageGuns were designed to kill. They make killing an awful lot easier.

MessagePeople kill yes, but guns are the tools that they use. Take away the tools and they are going to find it an awful lot difficult. You really think someone could massacare 10 + people with ease in a public shopping centre with a knife? I don't think so.

MessageYou think that the sort of individual that would "massacare 10 + people with ease in a public shopping centre" would b e bothered about the legality of their weapon?

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.
