Bill: Arms control
Details
Submitted by[?]: Union of Progressive Ulama
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2109
Description[?]:
It is not fitting for private firms to manufacture weapons systems: this is the role of the state. The Sultanate should not permit weapons systems made in this country to fall into the hands of potential enemies or warlike states. Therefore the government will own all defence contractors, and sell weapons only to allies. |
