MessageI'm confused by your posistion here...your party profile says small government leaning yet you have made it clear you want the government to control as much as possible....and with your visibility at excellent you do seem to be misleading the voters slightly..

MessageTypical right wingers with political games!!

Our record speaks for itself, and we don't support government control of large areas of policy. However, where the government at some level is involved, we vastly prefer it to be nationally rather than locally. Our visibility is 'excellent' because we propose more Bills with legislative changes than most other parties, and we vote often. In other words, we put forward policies that people support, and we vote according to how we feel the ordinary Kirlawan thinks.

Now, enough about the politics, do you have anything to say about the actual matter at hand? Is it right that local authorities can decide not to provide resources while others do? Shouldn't all Kirlawans get the same service? And aren't libraries and museums important cultural and educational facilities that provide great benefits?

MessageI don't think many people would have a problem with the principle of this bill. The question is, how are we paying for it?

MessageWe support well-funded public libraries and museums. But what evidence do you have that the system as it is is not working? We would support limited and temporary federal intervention if there was evidence that some areas were missing out due to mismanagement or incompetence, but that does not seem to be the case.

MessageI have already given my posistion on this, I think it's fine as it is. Local Governments know better then the cabinet where to distribute resources based on local opinion. I think thats a very trivial area for the government to control.

ps - touched a nerve did i...!

MessageWho will pay? The policies are easily affordable within existing budgets - economies of scale will help. There are existing gaps, as local authorities see both as easy targets for cuts, and local politicians seek to feather their own nests.
