Message | It's only allowed for vital govt. works. You'd rather we not be able to build whatever it is that is vital to the nation because a building is there already? |

Message | To the classical case, imagine your house being torn down by force...? |

Message | Whatever the vital work needed to be done is more important than one individual house. The society as a whole is more important than a few individuals. If Kafuristan really, really needs a new airport, and the best place to put that airport currently has houses there, the best thing to do is to remove the houses and build the airport. the people forced to move will then be provided with new housing elsewhere. If all my bills passed, all the houses would actually belong to the govt. anyway. |

Message | vital, adj: full of life: full of spirit (Princeton) need, noun, verb, gerund: want: have need of (Princeton) A want that is full of life. Or, something the government really wishes it could have. This could be anything from a highway, to a nuclear arsenal, to a government owned coffee shop, 99% off for government employees. You can throw other definitions at me, but as long as this interpretation exists, we oppose eminent domain. Another reason is because we, as the PEOPLE'S party, believe in the citizen before the government. |

Message | This is the definition of vital that would be used here. "Necessary to the existence, continuance, or well-being of something". You can't apply every possible definition of a word to every context it can be used in. For example, it's obvious that vital is not defined here as "Destructive to life; fatal:" Coffee shops are not necessary to the existence, continuance, or well-being of Kafuristan. But, whatever. Not that big of a deal. |
