Bill: On Civil Rights

Details

Submitted by[?]: Union Pour Un Movement Populaire

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2517

Description[?]:

It is unfair that we force people to work because they provide necessary services, the fact that they do provide absolutely necessary services should be a hint that we need to ensure that strikes do not happen.

Therefore, we must allow all people to strike.

It is absolutely ridiculous that trade unions may move to force all of their people to strike without a majority.

Therefore, we need to require a majority of all members, regardless of whether or not they vote.

MessageThe people should not be put at risk or harm due to the firefighters having a tuffle with the local government. Firefighters, EMTs and other essential groups NEED to provide at least the bare minimum service. Aparments fires and heartattacks do not stop because the firefighters and EMTs are walking the lines. This seems not only reasonable but also logical. We simply cannot support Article 2.

MessageYes but, apparently, Article 1 seems to make it harder for a union to go on strike to begin with.

MessageThis bill is an attack on the rights of all Kanjorans. It restricts the rights of workers to seek better working conditions and puts the rest of the community at risk. It is instructive that (so far) only the DPUF and the PPK are standing solidly for the welfare of the people whilst the others put their dangerous and anti-human ideologies before the welfare of people.

We quote the PPP "And of course we can be protected by ideology. It's the only thing that can save us", but what will save us from ideology?

MessageYes MPs, and they should be made to provide some services don't you think? So it is odd and contradictory that you voted "Yes" on it.

MessageWe support this bill simply because if the government truly values the welfare of its people it will provide working conditions that are good enough that firefighters, hospital workers and the like won't go on strike.

MessageForpees: "You're just mad because you got owned" ... and you're just a little bitch because you're on the 'owning' side.

Pells: People go on strike for more than simply working conditions.

MessageOOC: No, it's not because I'm a "fascists" because I am certainly not. While I realize this is the internet and we all think we have our little "characters"; based on what I have "seen", I find Forpees (as a person?) to be rude and annoying. Nothing good comes from 'arguing' or 'discussing' anything with the individual, and therefore, I do not wish to be addressed by them in any format. While I can't prevent them from doing so, I can at least request it and hope that what I have concluded about Forpees is false and he will heed my desired outcome.

MessageI'm sorry that you somehow interpret my ramblings and jokes as actually being me. I think it's ridiculous for anyone here to be able to make any judgments on who we all are as people. Hopefully we can get along better and come to a rational understanding.

Random fact: In cases where players have failed to clearly and accurately reference their nation's RP laws in the "Bills under debate" section, Moderation will rule them invalid if a challenge is made to their validity.

Random quote: On 7th February 4281 a group of renowned Metzist experts from all across Terra met in Haldor to form the International Committee for the Estimation of the End Date of Capitalism (ICEEDC). With the assistance of a powerful computer, they calculated that capitalism will terminate Terra-wide on 6th November 4320, and in Dorvik on April 17th 4310. We have no reason whatsoever to believe these very eminent and learned scholars are wrong. They have never been wrong about anything before. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer, General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
