| The Praetor Antiphon hereby issues the following executive order #2143a: Due to the conditions of near war, the Head of State, in his capacity as guardian of the nation and chief during times of exception, has prepared the following extra-constitutional provisions. All government personnel failing to execute these commands will be dismissed. Any civilians failing to cooperate will be arrested. (i) All physically and mentally capable men between the ages of 17 and 28 are hereby drafted into active army service for a term of indefinite length. (ii) The fortification of civilian shelters and military bases; the preparation of ground, air, and sea forces; and the destruction of foreign spies are the top priorities for all military agencies. (iii) All inhabitants of Dranland may be asked to show proof of identity as an authorized Dranian national. Therefore, it is recommended that identification cards or passports are carried at all times. (iv) All regions of Dranland are hereby under martial law. (v) 300,000 troops are to be stationed in Zone Omega by January 2518. (vi) All Natives from the colonies must participate in mandatory labor projects to secure the infrastructure of Dranland. They will be paid a reasonable wage. (vii) The cabinet hereby has the collective power to run the nation and order the army while martial law is in effect. (viii) All dissent against the government and all unpatriotic sentiments are hereby banned. (ix) The government will further prepare and develop the biological and chemical weapons stockpile for covert deployment. Although these provisions have already been put in place, we ask for the legislature's symbolic approval. |
