MessageThis act is pointless. We did not authorize the continuation of military operations in that province. We merely stated that if the PLMO continues to oppose the very simple and reasonable demands we would be forced to resume military operations to enforce those conditions ourselves.

MessageSo are we correct in interpreting that if we vote "yes" we are supporting the continuation of the ceasefire (despite whatever the president thinks)?

Message"Please note in the failure to meet our demands in the near future, PLMO, as the President of the Republique I will authorize the continuation of our military campaigns in Turadrad to ensure that all members of your terrorist organization are brought to justice. Rest assured that despite your posturing, your forces will be completely annihilated within a few years. The only reason we have halted military operations is to allow a chance to resolve this conflict peacefully. But you seem to mistake who has the leverage in these negotiations. You're forces have been driven from all provinces besides Turadrad in the span of a few months. You are no position to demand anything." That is what you said CUF it sounds like you are saying forget peace we want guns to solve anything. Now no one has been butchered like you say. And there is general peace in the country except for this little statement you made now this will deny the President the rights to further and escalate the violence.

MessageDid you miss the "in the failure to meet our demands in the near future" part? We set down our reasonable demands--no private armies, no amnesty for the leaders of the party and reparations to the families of those they killed. Now the PLMO has been filibustering for months now and they still do not want to give up their private army. Now if the PLMO refuses to meet these demands, what would you rather do? Just let them have the private army and amnesty?

And no one has been butchered? Well, for instance, the PLMO have admitted of using artillery. How do you think that weaponry works? It magically finds itself hitting tanks and soldiers? Artillery shells explode and will inevitably injure and kill innocent civilians, especially in a crowded city. So if you think that innocent children being part of "collateral damage" is not butchering, it is you who is the monster party that you always try to make us out to be.

MessageOur soldiers were killed - they were unneccessarily killed, butchered, slaughtered, whatever word you want to choose.

We want to keep the peace negotiations going forward and it is does not appear by the party's statements that CUF has plans to end the ceasefire. So UCC will vote yes as a signal of our support to the peace process.

MessageIf you had been paying attention, we only used artillery on Federal military bases, which I believe contain only military personnel. As you said yourself, it is fairly difficult to get artillery and armor within city limits.
I have agreed to dissolve the CDF, but amnesty must be granted to our Central Committee, Chairman, and Premier. We have also agreed to the suggestion by the UCC that we hire a private security firm to keep our families safe, as well as not being part of a cabinet for 16 years and voting for the Hugh Treason Act for that same period of time. Now we shall see who is willing to compromise for the sake of peace, and who is merely a bloodthirsty warmonger.

MessageMilitary bases contain unarmed military personnel as well--such as technicians, analysts and engineers. Furthermore, in your attack on the capital, due to the urban closeness of the fighting, claiming that there were no collateral damage and civilian casualties is ludicrous. Military bases or no artillery is inherently inaccurate and has historically always yielded high civilian casualties especially in civil wars.

We have added our comments to the peace process and hope you will honor them. Please be aware, that the CUF as a party does not hold grudges. We have had a rough past ourselves. We do however, insist that the guilty be punished and after that it is water under the bridge.
