Bill: Cabinet Proposal of July 2519
Details
Submitted by[?]: Coalition for National Unity [CNU]
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2520
Description[?]:
The Conservative and Morality Party's new cabinet. I note that this cabinet has been part of the Conservative agenda since Sir Thomas' 7th election victory and has been in no way altered or changed since the reign of Sir Timothy Cooper's administration. We note the only reason we feel fitt to change the cabinet, which we support in the long term thanks to their effort in the war against Kafuristan. Sir Thomas Hill as President of the Federal Republic of Solentia does hereby grant peerage orr Knighthood to all of that said cabinet. (Old Cabinet). * Prime Minister: Lord Jullian Mason (CMP) * Foreign: Baroness Dierdre Wessex (PP) * Internal: Sir Paul Johnson (SNSP) * Finance: Lord Bernard Wylam (CMP) * Defence: Sir Martin Hill (SNSP) * Justice: Lady Judith Car (PP) * Transport: Lady Nancy Lawson (PP) * Health: Lord Harold Keith (CMP) * Education: Lady Pam Davis (CMP) * Science: Lady Camille Alexander (CMP) * Food: Sir Liam Carling (SNSP) * Environment: Dame Jasmine Thomas (SNSP) * Trade and Industry: Lady Pamela Cook (PP) |

Message | This cabinet reflects active parties, who show promise, effort and detirmination to improve our country. The SRFP are wrong to suggest this isnt the case. |

Message | Respectfully, It is unfortunate you can't keep personal grudges from allowing equality within this representative government. We live in a free society my friends; as Voltaire said-I may not agree with what it is you have to say but, I will fight to my death for your right to say it." It is appears our colleagues with the Peoples Party wants to mute the people. They specifically cite the proud Republican Federalist Party; a rather new party which did indeed garner a fair shair of votes in a very short order of time; along with The Progressives; whom naturally you leave out of your mudslinging. Interesting, I say. If it is the intention of the majority to surround themselves with Yes Men, it will only harm the majority when they are the minority. Just because in your mighty judgment I am not worthy of a cabinent seat doesn't mean by de facto you and other members on the cabinet have a monopoly on grand ideas or good methods to govern this proud Republic. I would urge my rationale colleagues to decry the actions and words of the Peoples Party. His slander, lies and leftist propaganda is unfairly painting his opponents as inferior's which, according to our laws is unlawful especially on the grounds of no merit. OOC: I asked you once via PM to keep whatever issues you have with me, even with my apology-off the main area. And here in a random thread where I simply vote and make NO mention of wanting a seat on your blessed cabinet you attack me. Classy my friend, real classy. I'm asking again, in front of all-cut it out. Let's be respectful of one another. |

Message | If the SRFP wish to contribute something please feel free, though I will not stand riddiculous slates against my government. Those chosen for Cabinet were those that the CMP felt would fit into those roles best as the CMP agrees with them on those issues. The CMP was selected by the Solentian people as the President and thus to lead the cabinet, thus is the Solentian way. We feel that ourselves, the FIP, the PP and the Monarchists are the best members to form a cabinet as long as there is a Conservative Presidency. OOC: I dont know, or care, who you were talking to there, if you have a problem with the PP, it STAYS with the PP. |

Message | OOC: And that is what I asked him to do but, he was incapable by bringing it in here. Don't be angry with me. I'm new here. I never requested a cabinet position-period. I'm not prepared for it. I'm voting along party lines and being attacked for it. |

Message | OOC: And you, CMP, of all people ought know I'm not speaking ill of you or your government or even The Peoples Party. It's in-game role-playing. Go watch C-Span and the British House of Commons. They all but curse each other's mother but, they go out for tea later. We can't get hostile, or this will just turn poisonous. You've the logs CMP and I've done all I can. |

Message | I will however withdraw your comments on this issue SFRP, about wishing to be in the cabinet. But I do feel you were wrong to say the parties in this proposal are inactive as they are not. But I shall put this aside for the good of the nation. |

Message | Federal Independent Senators are debating whether to support this cabinet. We will have our decision soon. FIP Majority Leader Andrew Cuomo |
Date | 21:10:33, January 21, 2008 CET | From | Federal Independent Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of July 2519 |
Message | We agree because we believe that shunning the biggest party in the government from the cabinet is wrong. However, we have some major disagreements regarding several seats procured by several certain parties, but it shall be revised at a better time. FIP Majority Leader Andrew Cuomo |
