Bill: PUA Energy production 2520 Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Pan-Sekowo Freedom Alliance
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2521
Description[?]:
For article one, we beleive that a more mixed economy when it comes to energy production will be more efficient, and will allow more money to be made by our citizens off the private energy sector, growing our economy, while still allowing those in need to have access to cheap government produced power. For article 2, we beleive that in today's eco minded world, there is enough of a market incentive towards renewable energy that federal subsidies are no longer needed, and represent an uneeded drain on the taxpayer. Local governments should be able to decide if their area needs subsidies, if for example an area is unsuitable for wind production, but a federal response is not needed. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy on energy generation.
Old value:: Small scale private electrical generation is permitted but most energy is generated by a government-owned company.
Current: Small scale private electrical generation is permitted but most energy is generated by a government-owned company.
Proposed: Private and public power stations exist side-by-side.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change Renewable energy sources (eg. solar power, wind power).
Old value:: Government subsidies are provided for research and generation of energy through renewable sources.
Current: Government subsidies are provided for research and generation of energy through renewable sources.
Proposed: The decision on renewable energy sources is left up to local governments.

Message | We urge the USMC to see that a change is indeed needed. The sekowan economy could truely benefit from further growth in its private sector, and increasing private energy generation is a great way to do that. |
