Message | Tobacco industries have closed down operations in Tukarali, and we have managed to get people off their addictions. Hence the previous economic argument is hardly valid, nor should we be creating a market in addictive poisons. Pretty much the same thing goes for alcohol. Does the RiP have any reason why we should support the bill? |

Message | Well, it's impossible to prove either way. And we accept that not every smoker has overcome the addiction. Nevrethless, that does not make it right to reintroduce tobacco. Does the Yellow Party have any new reasons for supporting this bill? |

Message | We proposed this bill because it is the only proper thing to do. This will stem the tide of moonshine and do away with the black market in cigerettes. We are losing revenue because of this ban and we feel that we need to get that revenue back. |

Message | My learned colleague from the RiP makes a persuasive argument to re-legalize two of the most dangerous substances ever to plague our great country. What he fails to do, though, is to allow the measures enough time to prove their health efficacy which is their entire reason for being. His argument that re-legalizing them will reduce crime is true, but only to the point as it decriminalize the acts in question. The murder rate would plummet if we legalized it, in that it would no longer be murder. By that logic, we could wipe out crime entirely by legalizing everything. I'm afraid I can't support that, RiP. |

Message | This will stem the tide of moonshine and do away with the black market in cigerettes. We are losing revenue because of this ban and we feel that we need to get that revenue back." As the CRP says, it happens so it needs to be legalised isn't a good argument - BUT the argument that there is created a black market is. Or would be, were it not for the fact that the taxes we would otherwise take and use on the health service are effectively made up for, because of the clause by which smokers forfeit the Health Service. In any case, the black market will likely die out when the cigarette addicts do (and those desperate enough to use the black market are probably not going to survive all that long). |

Message | Ignore that stats then. The black market is real even if you people don't want to believe it is. Look at it this way! If we re-legalize it, we can tax it. Tax Revenue will come in! We can set the tax level and make it standard. Have one for each one if you wish. Unfortunately, we will see that this bill is overturned even if we have to propose this every single election year. That is a threat that we will follow through on too. Sooner or later, it will pass. Both the CRP and the SDP need to realize that there is more at stake than better health. The black market will prevent it and moonshine will continue to be developed. We will be l osing all of that money and private citizens will be getting richer because they are meeting the demand of the people. No matter what we do, this will occur. We might as well re-legalize it so that we can get some benefit out of this. |

Message | "Ignore that stats then." Pardon? Which statistic? "Tax Revenue will come in! " And will need to be spent on healthcare! Therefore there will be no benefit to society, while life expectancy will drop among smokers and victims of passive smoking, among drinkers and victims of drink-related violence and car accidents. "We will be l osing all of that money and private citizens will be getting richer because they are meeting the demand of the people." The taxes are there not to raise money for government in general, but to pay for health treatment needed because of tobacco and alcohol. |
