MessageSentences are, of course, up for debate and discussion.
The point here is to eliminate prostitution, not just legal prostitution, but the entire concept, from Jelbanian society.

MessageThis is an entirely statist like proposal and it leaves me to question what you serve is communism or socialism? It seems to me that we are still dealing with the NBP instead of a Marxist Leninist Party.

MessageThis is quite a unique proposal. Our first reaction is: what about male prostitutes? Under your system, they would not be breaking any crime. Also - what about women soliciting prostitutes? This is would be a better proposal if it remained gender-neutral. Because, in reality, males seek male and female prositutes - women seek male and female prostitutes.

Besides that, we support the objectives of this proposal. Those convicted of prostituting themselves should be sent to a rehabilatation center instead of prison. Also - are we correct in assuming that your last article was referring to repeat offenders being sentenced to a mandatory prison term? If so, we also support that.

MessageWe strongly oppose this proposal. The way to combat a vice is to discourage it through other means instead of criminalizing it.

MessageYes, that is what was intended with the last article, UCC.
We see the prostitution problem in Jelbania as more of man exploiting woman than anything else, all other forms are much less common. If you wish, you can suggest a proposal be added that covers that area, but I would not know how to deal with that kind of crime, so I would propose you come up with the punishments for that.

Yes - it is a very statist approach.

MessageCertainly, males solicitating female prostitutes is a far more common ocurrence. No doubt about that. However, we feel that we must do whatever possible to prevent anyone of any gender from entering prostitution or soliciting prostitutes. It is an immoral act, no matter the gender of them specific parties. We should just make this bill gender neutral and keep the same sentencing guidelines. There is not a need to even mention gender.

For repeat offenders, we would also support lessening the sentence to six months.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.

Random quote: "If liberty and equality, as is thought by some are chiefly to be found in democracy, they will be best attained when all persons alike share in the government to the utmost." - Aristotle
