MessageI feel I must oppose this one, patents hold back society and are a mearly a tool of the capitalist to restrict development. We support the free sharing of ideas for our economy.

MessageYes, but we need software. YWe need to reward those who come up with the software and not just let lazy people copy it.

MessageSoftware will still be generated, the person/s who invents it is in a paid job and will probably get a bonus for the excellent work. This shoulod be reward enough any more is capitalist greed.
We would still get software and if people copy it then they will be doing it too improve the product.
OOC: Look at Firefox, Openoffice, GIMP etc, all non-patented free release software, all pushing the boundries of their fields and in many cases considered better than the licenced editions, we dont need licences that is what we have and this bill would damage that!

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life fictional references (eg. Gandalf, Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker).

Random quote: "Soldiers who are not afraid of guns, bombs, capture, torture or death say they are afraid of homosexuals. Clearly we should not be used as soldiers; we should be used as weapons." - Letter to the editor, the Advocate
