Message | We note that the old bands had many steps below the 150,000KDI level. The average income of the lowest icoscile (ie: the 5% of lowest earners) is between 110,000KDI and 135,000KDI in each region, meaning that very few people have no tax to pay, and almost everyone who does has to be taxed over at two or three bands. We propose that the overall level of taxation be reduced by about 10%. We propose that more people on low incomes be exempt, and so the lowest band should start at 100,000KDI. This will in effect result in a tax cut for the vast majority of Kirlawans. We propose that higher bands be brought in at easily understood levels, and at easily recognised rates. The highers tax rate of 50% will only affect people in the top decile. This would still leave the government with a budget in surplus, but not to the tune of 1.2 Trillion KDI |

Message | Actually to be honest this is quite reasonable. |

Message | The DFM favours the introduction of the flat tax but we will give this our support as this means a tax reduction. |
