Message | Given the changes in the last election, and assuming parties vote the way they previously did, we can now overturn the ridiculous law that was passed entirely banning recreational drugs. |

Message | Oy ve. You really are a fucking fool. The government has the responsibility to look after the health of the people. Who are you to say that we don't? If you feel that way then cut the health budget to 0 |

Message | No, we have the responsibility to provide services that allow people to make the decision to look after their own lives. Presumably you think that even if a patient doesn't consent to a surgery, the doctors should force it on them. Since it's for their health, and their personal choice doesn't matter, right? |

Message | We are not talking about surgery. We are talking about illegal drug use. |
Date | 02:05:43, February 08, 2008 CET | From | Judicial Union Party | To | Debating the Drugs (Recreational Drugs) Amendment Act |
Message | Actually, we're talking about legal drug use. You are suggesting we should look after the health of people, regardless of their own wishes, which, at least, is consistent with your views against euthanasia. This would mean of course that we should force people to have surgery, even if they don't want to. We should prevent them from smoking, regardless of whether they want to. We must force them to exercise, without considering their own personal volition. Because maintaining their health is much more important than what they, as an individual, want to with their lives. We, on the other hand, feel people have the right to live their life without government overly interfering. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
