Bill: Private Higher Education Bill of 2107

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dolgar Libertarian Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2108

Description[?]:

Some of our private higher learning facilities were the best in the country, before they were regulated to an inch in their lives! The "Cypress-League" schools barely warrent that name any more. We need to give the private schools a longer leash: Their tactics are sometimes unorthodox, but almost always proven.

MessageErr, no.... Private education is bad education, it leaves things open for alien foreign teaching practices to be used, and well quite frankly useless subjects such as 'Gerbil Studies' to be certified as degree subjects, not a good idea at all.

MessagePrivate education is bad education? WHAT?
Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Georgetown
Stanford
USC... ok maybe that last one is a bad example. :-)

And useless subjects are often taught at our PUBLIC universities. How many public universities have such useless things as PE majors and classes like "Rocks for Jocks." I know UCLA (a public school, and a relatively excellent one to boot) did. UC Santa Cruz (another public school) had a class titled "The Hendrix Experience" which consisted entirely of the class listening to Hendrix music and getting stoned.
