Date | 00:58:26, February 11, 2008 CET | From | Christian Socialist Party | To | Debating the The Platform for a National Socialist Revival |
Message | This Bill is a mixed bag, containing some legislation we approve of and some we disapprove of. |
Date | 17:39:25, February 11, 2008 CET | From | Gluaiseacht Shaoráil DhaonlathachIt | To | Debating the The Platform for a National Socialist Revival |
Message | ....but apparently the CSP supports most of the National Socialist Revival Act. Which part do you favour ? Do you agree that by supporting this proposal, the CSP is more like a right-wing National Socialist party based on Christian grounds ? |
Date | 20:13:52, February 11, 2008 CET | From | Kirlawan Popular Front | To | Debating the The Platform for a National Socialist Revival |
Message | We are not happy that the CSP will vote for a Bill that includes allowing torture, imposing curfews on minors, legalising racial discrimination and sexual discrimination. We understand that they are anti-abortion and want to restrict drug use, but voting for what is a Fascist platform in total does not make our members any happier about the prospect of working in government with the CSP. |
Date | 20:49:14, February 11, 2008 CET | From | Christian Socialist Party | To | Debating the The Platform for a National Socialist Revival |
Message | The problem with these bundled Bill is that they force parties to vote yes to all or no to all, regardless of opinion on each of the individual articles. We have reservations about some of the Articles in this, but on balance we support. |

Message | We understand that but may be you can clarify why you support for instance: Homosexuality is not tolerated in the military. The military actively seeks to remove homosexuals from it AND Euthanasia is illegal and considered murder AND Prostitution is illegal AND Suspects can only be tortured under grave emergencies where the information is vital ? So again, CSP, which articles do you support actually ? |
Date | 01:33:22, February 12, 2008 CET | From | Christian Socialist Party | To | Debating the The Platform for a National Socialist Revival |
Message | With regard to the issues the DFM mentioned: Homosexuality & the military: We recognise that war is an extreme and unique situation, where some of the norms which would apply to civilian life cannot be held to apply. We would have preferred "don't ask, don't tell". Euthanasia: We believe legalising euthanasia opens the way to too many abuses. However, we would prefer not to necessarily always class it as murder. Prostitution: We have stated before that prostitution is an evil, mutually-exploitative business which wrecks lives and damages society. Torture: We are not entirely comfortable with this Bill's proposal on this. |

Message | It is not out of the bounds of reason to oppose a bundled Bill and then propose another with the parts you do like. |
