Bill: CP.0040.2533 CP Requirements for Zardugal-Cobura War Support
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2535
Description[?]:
To support our military if we do enter in the Free Federation of Zardugal versus Republic of Cobura war. This is a condition of CP's support for action as it will not support any motion that will send our men and women to fight without the complete and utter backing that they deserve. Article 1 & 5: Bio Chem weaponry and warfare. We have to fight fire with fire, not wood. As the law states, they must strike first but we must be prepared. The CP has no wish to step away from this stance. Article 2: POWs would be treated badly by Zardugal (according to their laws). We would be open to removal of this article if this allows the bill and resolution to pass. [removed] Article 3: Torture only in emergencies. That can come up during wartime. [removed] Article 4: The servicemen need the covert units to be able to assist whenever possible. The CP has no wish to step away from this stance. Resolution 1: ----------------- The CP is willing to allow Sekowo to fall into debt (as we have had such high surpluses for so many years that we can live off our savings) to fund our war effort. |

Message | 1) bio weaponry is just in case. The CP condones its usage but if certain nations (specifically Zardugal) uses them against us, we would need to strike back at least equally hard. 2) Certain nations (specifically Zardugal) would treat prisoners very harshly and unjustly, as stated by their laws. We should threaten the same although our laws treat prisoners so kindly, that there hardly would make much difference. This makes Sekowo seem like a tougher nation to deal with. Intimidation is good to have. 3) At the moment, our laws prevent any sort of covert operation. That legally eliminates one way that we can strike at certain nations (guess which). Sabotaging their military facilities such as anti-aircraft or naval yards will hinder their war effort. |
