Bill: Peace, Prosperity, People. Paix, Progres, Gens.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Union Pour Un Movement Populaire

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2535

Description[?]:

This country needs a cabinet and a country with power not concentrated in one party, but in several,
With the leadership in the hands of two parties.
With the Foreign Affairs office headed by a veteran of peace, it is assured that we will not have to call upon our defensive forces.
But should peace be shattered, it is not unreasonable to suggest that the best candidate, Gen. Boisclair continue to lead the Department of Defense.

With Peace at the Helm,
And the Soldiers of Progress at the defense,
There is no better team for Kanjor.

But too much stagnation is not good for democracy.

MessageWell, to be truthful, there wasn't much communication from any of the sides regarding legislatin change. Stagnation can only be placed on the shoulders of everyone within in it ... but merely saying "too much"; well, there was no effort to come to a positive conclusion, no effort to reach out and truly put together a comprehensive legislation package, instead, we are like vultures trying our hardest to get as much as we can from the Senatorial carcass.

We keep trying to look out for #1; but never the country. We are too lazy to try and work out legislation for the benefit of all, to develop soem sort of consensus. It's getting pretty lame.

MessageHell; we don't even use the "Debate" option anymore, but instead, just send it to vote (most of the time so it will increase our recognition and we win the election, only to do nothing until the next election nears; THAT is a greater danger than stagnation).

MessageWe constantly work for the benefit of Kanjor, despite your best efforts.
And thus, we get elected.

There can be no consensus when one side is flat out wrong.

MessageI was pretty sure the reason no one was proposing bills was because things were fairly consensual as they were.
Was I wrong in believeing this? We all have our own ideals for Kanjor, and as things stand they seem like a good compromise for everyone.
