Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: September 2536

Description[?]:

"Recognising that it is not the role of Beiteynu to involve itself in every skirmish that may spring up in Terra and that the current conflict between Zardugal and Cobura poses not direct threat to, nor is of direct importance to Beiteynu whilst further recognising that neither Zardugal nor Cobura have shown specific friendship towards to Beiteynu in the past, we propose a policy of complete non-intervention and neutrality in regards to this conflict. The Sixth Jewish Homeland shall not involve itself political, econonomically nor militarily in the conflict nor shall we offer any specific preference to refugees from the conflict. Additionall the proposed Zardugal and Cobura Peace Summit (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=176453) shall not be permitted to take place on Beiteynuese soil. This is not our war and it is of no concern to us, what will happen will happen but our duty is to protect the Jewish and the Beiteynuese people not to play justice police of the globe.

For the Homeland!"

MessageThe Jewish People need to be seen as those who will lend a hand to peace. This action shows that we are nothing but selfish people who care for only themselves. Tikkun olam, means to better the earth, and that means we must help those who need it. We do not have to take sides but just ignoring it make our lives worse.

If we were attacked I believe that we would not want nations to turn the other cheek. If we want to be helped we must help. This is our duty as Beiteynuites as Jewish People as people to lend a helping hand to those in pain.

THis bill calls for us to ignore the problem but it will one day reach us. Wouldn't our kids love to sday we ended the war. I think they would.

Message"Can we point out that Cobura was one of the first to condemn Deltaria, when it had the policy of mass explusion of Jews, amongst others, and that Cobura pushed hard for action from the international community against this, and offered itself as a save haven for fleeing Jews, Morons, French and Gypsies, all of whom were once being persicuted by the former government of Deltaria."

MessageHowever Ma'avk would rather squaler that and close us off from the world rather than help a fellow ally.

Message"The Zardugal/Cobura conflict has nothing to do with us: neither are our allies; neither pose a risk to our own security; and we have no particular interests in the region worth protecting. Intervention is not us acting for the good of mankind, nor can it ever be neutral; inevitably, we would be seen to be taking a side. And whichever side does come off worth from the peace, I can gurantee, will blame us as much as the opposing side.

It can be clearly see not only is there no good reason for us to act as World Police, but there are many compelling reasons not to. Intervention will not protect us, it will not protect our allies (in fact, Coburan parties gave one of their reasons for leaving the MCTO was so they would not be in anything close to an alliance with us), and it will only create diplomatic tension between us and at least one of the two sides. For those reasons, we support this motion of non-intervention."
