Message | How does everyone feel about this proposed bill? |

Message | The third and fourth articles meet with the approval of the UP. However, the first article is worrisome and smacks of absolute rule. Also, we believe the second article to be a violation of civil liberties and statistical studies prove that the more guns a population controls, the less crime they experience. Criminals will get guns no matter the laws; it is the ordinary citizens that are prevented from owning guns and protecting themselves by this sort of law. |
Date | 06:54:36, September 10, 2005 CET | From | National Socialist Party of Deltaria | To | Debating the Police Reform |
Message | The NSP would be willing to remove article 1, and amend article 2 towards licensing procedures for firearms in lieu of blanket bans. The NSP is, as always, highly concerned over the extremely negligent attitudes regarding the private ownership of firearms. |

Message | The proposed amendments to article 2, while not entirely satisfactory, would likely win UP support. |

Date | 10:57:27, September 10, 2005 CET | From | Marchioness Party | To | Debating the Police Reform |
Message | Separation between the police and military must be maintained. The Marchioness Party is concerned about the definition of a "serious emergency" which would warrant military intervention. Which body would be vested with the power to determine a "serious emergency" that requires the assistance of the military? |

Date | 11:14:21, September 10, 2005 CET | From | Marchioness Party | To | Debating the Police Reform |
Message | The Marchioness Party understands that in cases of extreme natural disaster or other national crisises, military intervention may be warranted. Yet, The Marchioness Party remains concerned about the identity of the power with the jurisdiction to inform the military that a "serious emergency" has occured. The Marchioness Party believes that this power cannot rest in the executive government. |

Message | Why not? Who would the MP like to see it rest with? Perhaps you'd like us to hold referendums and opinion polls amongst the peoples while our citizens are dying en masse? The NSP will not stand by to watch a government so afraid of its own power that it will happily neglect the safety of its citizenry in favour of far-fetched lofty political ideologies. |

Message | With the recent Deltarian school shooting, voters aren't gonna like you opposing gun control. *smiles smugly* |
