Bill: Standardised Testing Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Centrist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2536

Description[?]:

We feel that a standardised test would be a good way to check the knowledge of the students aswell as creating guidelines for the teachers to use when they are setting the grades. It can also be used as a way of comparing schools, so it's easier to see which ones who could use some help.

This is not a new idea, many countries in the world already has simular solutions.

MessageWe don't see that these have to be mutually exclusive. Why "discourage" standardized testing? We think both approaches have merit. Is there an option that balances the approaches? We'd prefer that one.

MessageWe can see who needs more help by regular tests, not private tests. It's a waste of money and just doesn't improve anything.

MessageDR: Actually, it doesn't exist any option where both is used.

AMP: This is not just for comparing schools, but also a way of ensuring that students get the grade that they deserve. If someone scores an A on a national standardised test, but still gets a B by the teacher, you would know that that student has received an unfair grade.
