RECOGNISING that no social safety net exists for the unemployed, those engaged in full time education, those deemed unfit to work due to illness or the aged, and RECOGNISING that it is the Government should provide all its citizens with a reasonable, if not high, standard of living, and CONCIOUS of the lack of a legislated social safety net in The Republic of Deltaria It is proposed that the Republic of Deltaria introduces a system of pensions to ensure that all citizens enjoy a reasonable standard of living. |

Current: All adults not supported by another person shall be guaranteed a reasonable, though not high, standard of living by the government.
