Message | Our position has altered slightly, in that we have dropped the requirement to actively search. Integration Centres are not prisons, but places to help immigrants to fit into Kirlawan society more easily. Aliens found will be taught English (or another primary language) and their skills assessed. If they are suitable for legal immigration on that basis, then they will be allowed to apply. Otherwise they can choose to leave for another nation of their choice (that has agreed to accept them). We believe that this is a humane and fair way to deal with illegal immigration. We also feel that the problem is not too great, given our historically generous and straightforward policy on legal immigration. |

Message | We had been opposed to a previous version of this proposal, partly due to our misconceptions about the integration centers; some other nations have internment camps, for people whose loyalty they question or for other reasons. We thank the KPF for explaining more about the proposed integration centers, which are clearly different things entirely, and now support the proposal. |
