Bill: Refugee Policy

Details

Submitted by[?]: Telamon National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2110

Description[?]:

We should only accpet refugees who are victims of extreme cirumstances, this would be getting tortured families getting killed being chased by goverments that want to kill them for a bad reason.
If we let anyone in this would be a strain on our health service and out public services, This would then mean more houses would be needed and they will need to be built on green fields. It will then increase pollution in Telamon so we should control our borders alot better.

MessageI am sort of for this at the moment. It depedns on what you believe extreme is. If people are wanting to escape their homeland for a reason, they shouldnt just be automatically granted refugee status, they should apply for citizenship, if they cannot do this because they are unable to aquire the papers, or they are subject to violence etc.

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with.

Random quote: "Isn't it about time that the US government stop supporting dictatorships and avaricious oligarchies with our tax monies, munitions, and diplomacy?" - Ralph Nader
