MessageA curfew time needs to be added to the bill description, unless we wish to leave it up to the discretion of the Ouparath, which we recommend. We also must oppose using the military as our sole police force, because the military must be ready to defend us from potential foreign attacks. With the Indralan tension not yet over, the military must be free to act without needing to police the homefront as well.

MessageAnswers:

1. It will be left to the discrtetion of the Ouparath
2. The police will be inducted into the military and the military will be given powers of arrest. This is the primary reason.

MessageWe oppose using the military as police, and we oppose the use of torture. Under no circumstances can torture be condoned.

MessageSo, if a nuclear weapon is hidden by terrorists on Malivian soil and the only way to find it would be to torture a captured terrorist for its location, you would deny the lives of the people who would be killed in the blast?

MessageHow likely is that situation, in all honesty? How does one determine "grave circumstances"? How does one determine if the information is vital when we don't have it? Hm? Once you start, where do you stop? If we do it for nuclear weapons, why not for chemical or biological? Why not for conventional explosives? Why not for somebody planning a protest against government policy?

With the torture provisions in there, the NCPM will not support this bill.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.
