Seeing as it comes straight from the taxpayers in the first place, this is a falsehood. Giving money to low income families will more likely to spend as they have a lower propensity to save and less disposable income, give it to the rich as well and they'll not spend as much as they have a higher propensity to save.

We oppose this wasteful government spending.
