Message | Now that is just a plainly misleading premise. They are not "known for doing better". Only rich people can afford to send their children to private schools, and there is a strong correlation between wealth and educational success. The only reason, if there is any, that a private school would seem to produce more successful students is that they are more likely to succeed from the start. It is cheaper for the state to provide a system of schools. Not only is there a benefit from economies of scale, people don't need to pay for the private schools to profit. Under the current system, everyone has choice. Everyone is better off. |

Message | If it may please the council, I would like to say that the Justice Union Party is only partially right. However, some private schools do offer assistance as well as scholarships to those that need it. Granted there are qualificaitons to meet before one qualifies but to say outright that only rich people go to private schools is entirely false. |
