Message | Is the DSP wishing to implement a fixed wage and size of team for all legal representation? How would the Minister of Justice prevent out-of-court payments between clients and their respective legal representation? The "same wage" idea is just not making complete sense. In theory, would be nice and the CP would consider agreeing. But practically, this is not a feasible solution with the given grounds. Does the DSP have any other ideas for why this proposal should be implemented? |

Message | A fixed wage for lawyers, yes. Lawyers would work for the state and would be responsible to the government to disclose all information on such things, and if they accepted them they would be stripped of their position. |
Date | 06:53:09, March 09, 2008 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the DSP.096.2543 |
Message | hmm ... then this bill should be a lawyer's act with all the rules and regulations of the profession. At this moment, someone who wishes to have a 10-man legal representation will be granted it and it will be paid for entirely by the state. |
Date | 06:57:09, March 09, 2008 CET | From | 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō) | To | Debating the DSP.096.2543 |
Message | Then we would advise the justice department to create regulations to limiting the amount of lawyers one can have. |
Date | 07:34:10, March 09, 2008 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the DSP.096.2543 |
Message | The CP would prefer a debate in which all the opinions can be sent to the Minister of Justice for consultation before making any laws. Therefore, the CP will oppose this bill and looks forward to the lawyer's act. |
Date | 11:10:46, March 10, 2008 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the DSP.096.2543 |
Message | The FDP would prefer it if the government kepts itself out of the justice system, thereby biasing it, and left the number of lawyers and the wages earned between the client and individual. Treading down this path is a stepping stone towards regulating the wages and how people work in a lot of other professions, like accountancy, audit, doctors, nurses etc |
Date | 15:48:51, March 10, 2008 CET | From | 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō) | To | Debating the DSP.096.2543 |
Message | The Justice system is part of the government. |
Date | 23:58:26, March 10, 2008 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the DSP.096.2543 |
Message | The judges yes, to preserve impartiality, but when the lawyers of both the defendent and the prosecution are paid for by the state, what guarantee can the defendant have of a fair trial? What guarantee of a lawyer working for his interests? |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
