The UFP hold that it is vital for the government to be able to regulate the ownership and use of firearms. While we support individual freedoms and civil rights, we also do not want to see firearms in the hands of those who cannot be trusted to act responsibly with them. |

Current: Where weapons are carried, this must be done openly.
Proposed: People must first obtain a permit in order to carry concealed weapons.

Old value:: Adult individuals are allowed to own and purchase guns freely.
Current: Adult individuals may not own firearms unless professionally required.
Proposed: Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions.
