Message | I seems oxymoronic to me,giving one class prefrential treat to break class. Any probelms needed to be addressed would be,and then would continue giving unfair treatent to one class. A poor white man with a family competing for the same job as an middle-class black man,and the black man gets the job becuase of racial qoutas in the workplace. Many things are good in thoery, but not so great when put to use |

Message | The bill does not call for "quotas in the workplace" though. It says the government will encourage businesses to use affirmative action, and that oppressed groups will get preferential hiring in the government. That's a good idea because when the government is moving Al'Badara rather quickly towards a more socialist system, there are very few working-class people and minorities in government jobs. It's important that the government civil service shoudl more accurately reflect the make-up of the population. |
