Message | Why should we be regulating what drugs people take? It's like regulating what they eat, it's their choice. If parties vote the same way as last time, this should pass. |

Message | Still no.. This is crazy. OK, so you'ld allow any drugs avaiable.. And OK, it's indeed their choice, but have you ever thought about the consequences? Consequences towards other people? Have you thought about responsabillities? If a drugaddict starts stealing commiting crimes because they're desperate to get money to buy drugs, or a doped person rapes or kills someone,.. Can someone be held liable if they're in a state of "diminished capacity", if can't control their actions, if they don't know anymore what they're doing? No, we as a society can not allow this. |

Message | The same argument can be made about alcohol, and yet we as a society condone alcohol consumption. We don't allow a person to be free of the law just because they're drunk. The argument that people will commit crimes just to fund their drug habit is ridiculous. The kinds of people who are willing to commit crimes to fund their drug habit are hardly going to pay attention to laws about the legality of drugs, are they. No, the proposed law is for those responsible and law-abiding citizens who perhaps want to try some. These people who, perhaps because of the law have not done so before. In addition, by having recreational drugs legal, we can tax them. |
