Message | The UP believes the state is a poor manager of resources and would rather maintain an entirely private system, although the UP would be willing to support state subsidies to private contractors, given that we are in a time of crisis. |

Message | I find it laughable that the Communist Party supports state-controlled defense industries. These are the very same Communists who in the early 20th century told the world that the industrial complex was responsible for war and death of the proletariat. My, how things have changed. |
Date | 06:10:08, September 14, 2005 CET | From | CNI Party | To | Debating the National Defence Industry Bill |
Message | The CNI agrees with the UP in supporting subsidies to private defense contractors. |

Message | And you think that privatizing the defence industry will get rid of the industrial complex? What do you not understand about Marxist theory? Perhaps if it was under worker's control, it would be devolved as time progressed. But heaven forbid, perhaps you understand the marxist dialectic process better than I do.... |
Date | 16:48:29, September 14, 2005 CET | From | Utilolibertarian Party | To | Debating the National Defence Industry Bill |
Message | At least the industrial complex will not be controlling the upper echelons of government directly, for God's sake! |
Date | 18:38:19, September 14, 2005 CET | From | Doron Akigansk Kommunist Parti (MLN) | To | Debating the National Defence Industry Bill |
Message | No. But according to Marxist theory the upper echelons of society are the captains of private industry. In a Marxist state we would replace the captain's of industry with direct worker's democracy. So that private industry would be without direct political influence. |
Date | 00:31:08, September 15, 2005 CET | From | Democratic-Republican Centrist Party | To | Debating the National Defence Industry Bill |
Message | The DRC support this bill. |
Date | 02:50:36, September 15, 2005 CET | From | Strength and Unity Party | To | Debating the National Defence Industry Bill |
Message | The SUP supports the UP position. We do not feel a completely nationalized industry would be in the best interests of the nation, but we feel if the government had subsidies to private defense contractors, that would do the job just as well, if not better. |
