MessageWe are only doing this because the Great Likatonia is just an expansion not worthy by history and it is stealing from another country their valuable traditions and identity (OOC: Too bad people don't realize this in the real world). It has nothing to do with the mafia-related-regulator-learning CAM bill.

MessageOn behalf of the government of Likatonia, I wish to inform you that Likatonia has no claims for any of your lands. We respect the sovereignty of your nation and accept that Migadon is rightfully part of your honourable nation.

I give my word of honour on this. And I ask that Telamon show us the mutual respect that we are showing. Please do not show aggression towards us, which would be seen by creating some sort of anti-Likatonian alliance.

We respect your nation. We want good relations between our countries.

This must be some sort of misunderstanding.

Please respond.

Yours sincerely,

Alec Reynolds
First Advocate

Please just ratify this treaty in the interest of nation's safety and Lodamun(which has already have been attacked).

MessageIt is important for Telamon to defend itself. I am most grateful to Minister of Foreign Affairs Ljubomir Adamovic and the entire RRP Party for proposing this legislation. I also wish to personally thank all members of Parliament who have voted in favor of this bill.

MessageTelamon's Foreign Minister deals with other nations, Conservative Liberal Party, but we all take the sovereignty and defense of Telamo very seriously. For many decades the Conservative Adeptus Mechanicus Party, under the care of my father former Prime Minister Raxney, kept out of international affairs. We have no desire to get involved in the affairs of others without an invite. Of that I assure you.

But, if Telamon is threatened or harmed we have no choice but to defend ourself. If that means joining in mutual defense with others then so be it. If your party, and nation, have no intention to harm Telamon all is well. I assure you that Telamon will not start hostilities with anyone. We are a peaceful nation. But, if hostilities are started with Telamon then Telamon will finish them.

MessageI should point out that this bill states that Telamon will attack Likatonia if it is passed - because we are currently in a state of war with another member of that treaty - Lodamun, who ae conning you in the joining the treaty because they think you'll support them.

We have no beef with you. And we ask you to stay out of Likatonian affairs, to same extent that you expect us to stay out of your affairs.

Likatonia posses no threat to Telamon but Telamon will pose a threat to Likatonia if you ratify this bill.

Afterall, how would you like it if we proposed an Anti-Telamon Defensive Treaty and went around getting the nations of Terra to sign it? I don't think you'd appreciate that. So, please re-consider this dispicable treaty proposal.

MessageIf you look at the Likatonian assembly you will see that the right wing coalition has a big majority of the seats, and the idea of "greater-Likatonia" is again being brought up. In addition to trying to claim half of the Lodamun territory of Rapula they are also making a move towards there two other boardering states, even going as far as proposing a bill to issue a ultimatum and moving troops to there boarder against the nation of Valruzian Federation. Ask yourself if you want to let this type of expansionism go unchecked

MessageBetter still - ask yourself if you'd rather be in the crosshairs. - we have no interest in Telamon - don't involve yourself oin Likatonian affairs.

MessageAs part of the 7th proposition in the CAM Greater Likatonia Prevention Stage 1 it is our belief that a mutual non-aggression pact with Likatonia must be approached prior to any join defense treaties. Additionally, any and all joint defense treaties must place Telamon's defense above embroiling our great nation in wars that we have no desire to participate in.

As such, we feel that this treaty is not suitable for our signature until other avenues are pursued including wording, in this or any mutual defense treaty, which allows for the possibility of Telamon's assistance without guaranteeing it in all circumstances. We must be certain that we will help others when we are able to help. If we are not in a position to render assistance we only make ourselves vulnerable to external forces.

MessageAs can be seen, the Conservative Adeptus Mechanicus party is against the Anti-Likatonia Defensive Treaty as it is currently worded. By our count 167 votes are needed to pass the Anti-Likatonia Defensive Treaty. Please note that there are only 107 votes in favor and 99 votes against. We fail to see how this treaty can be ratified by Telamon's Parliament.

Likatonia's ratification of the Telamon-Likatonia Non Aggression Pact is eagerly awaited.
