MessageWe oppose this, as an unregulated, anarchical foreign policy will set Dorvik back centuries in our good relations with our neighbours. This bill will tie our hands in regard to which governments we recognise, and which we do not. For instance, if a country erupts into a civil war between a group of insane, puppy killing maniac's, and a broad pro-puppy coalition, both "countries" could legally set up an embassy in Dorvik? How many people would respect a nation that recognises, and, therefore, implicitly supports, an insane puppy killing regime? Any number of unsavoury regimes could set up embassies, legitimising their rule and tainting us by association. Furthermore, it is a well known fact that embassies are also used by intelligence agencies - this in itself is not a problem, even close allies will routinely engage in intelligence ops against us. However, an added degree of regulation puts us in a slightly better position to monitor, and perhaps if need be deal with, foreign intelligence operatives.

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with.

Random quote: "The state is nothing but an instrument of oppression of one class by another, no less so in a democratic republic than in a monarchy." - John Smith
