Details

Submitted by[?]: Rutanian Democratic Forum

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2554

Description[?]:

Dear members of the Parliament, Mr. Prime Minister and members of Government. Mr. President!

In our time, when the oil is getting more and more expensive, it is necessary for us to reconsider the energy policy of our nation. There is a need for more renwable energy sources, but also for nuclear energy which is one of the most promising and encouraging. By now, scientific research is focused on nuclear fusion research (and therefore we have to promote science), nut currently we only have nuclear fission plants.

We propose a bill which enables that local governments establish nuclear power plants in their areas. Of course, strict security measures have to be applied, and a report on security measures and local nuclear energy policy should be given to the Government of the Commonwealth.

Random fact: The influence a bill has on elections decreases over time, until it eventually is no longer relevant. This can explain shifts in your party's position to the electorate and your visibility.
