MessageIts not wise to start building up Charlesbourg at the same place it stood before yet. THe nuclear rasiation is still there, and we need to clear up that first.
Also we cant accept this bill as it is a violation of privat property rights

MessageWe will not support this bill as long as it legalizes Eminent Domain. We will agree to setting aside a certain amount of LOD for clearing up the nuclear radiation and rebuilding, as long as you remove the Eminent Domain articles

MessageWe disagree. The land is currently worthless. By buying the area, we can rebuild with greater flexibility.

OOC: In 1666, The Great Fire of London occured. The area was devestated. A plan for rebuilding was created , but never put into place because there was no system for seizing private property or determining compensation, so the same medieval street layout was reestablished.

I agree that eminent domain is a bad idea as laid out in this bill, and the URP supports repealng this law a few years after it passes, but this bill is necessary to rebuild the city of Charlesbourg.

MessageSince the land is as good as worthless then it should be possible to just buy the property from the owners without the use of eminent domain

MessageSo a few people can hold up the whole project?

MessageIf some people wont sell then we will just have to accept that and adopt the project to deal with it.
We just cant accept legalizing enminent domain.
