Message | 60? Do you know how long the average Alorian lives to today? 60 is young by today's standards and the MLP are certainly not willing to give employers an excuse to terminate 60-somethings because the government has set an arbitrary and frankly out-of-date age where they "need to retire." I know many parties would like to shuffle the 60-something crowd into a mediocre welfare state pensioner system of desparation and subsistence, but many, many are still able-bodied, willing and wanting and able to work for much, much more! And when you take that away from them by setting such a low, low government standard based not on the current conditions of our nation, that is age discrimination plain and simple. Keep the retirement age at 65. That's low enough. |

Message | Uh, thers no reason why someone over the age of retirement can't work. Besides, the life expectancy isn't that much different, and if 60 was terribly young, you wouldn't be able to set that as the retirement age. THIS DOES NOT PREVENT ANYONE FROM WORKING. |
