Message | Senate Warden is most definitely not a "prison term", it was once the title of the legislative leader of the Solentian Senate. It has a rich history along with it and represents a great time in Solentian politics. FIP Majority Leader Desi Avan |

Message | Also, the ANF is very tired of this needless slander. My administration had nothing to do with changing your precious titles. "Righting the wrongs of the previous administration." |

Message | If this is the case the ANF would ask that you please change your description so that it doesn't reflect poorly on the tenure of President General Joe Swanson. |

Message | OOC: I apologize but it cannot be changed once it's sent to vote. I would, but I cannot. I'll state it here: by "previous administration" I do not refer specifically to the administration of former Supreme President Swanson, but to the entire coalition of various parties who saw fit to revise our national tradition. |

Message | OOC: That is very much appreciated. While President Swanson didn't lead a very important administration (in terms of changes or successes) it was by no means a bad administration and should not be belittled. |

Message | The Solentian Heritage Coalition greatly appreciates the support of the Autocratic Nationalist Front on this bill. The bi-partisanship displayed by the ANF will not be forgotten by the SHC or the CPS. James Devreau, Inner Party Leader |

Message | Well, I suppose you all do deserve one victory. Again, I appreciate that the Conservative Party is confident enough in my abilities to label me not only President but, wow-Supreme President! Truly, a reverse of position if I ever saw it! Also, can someone please show me why the Head of Government who "chairs the cabinet" is being called the Senate Warden when has nothing to do with the Senate? Hmm... |

Message | In all due respect to my Federal Republican colleagues, the title of "Supreme President" was not changed for your sitting incumbent's honor. The relation and timing between the two is of mere coincidence. The title of Supreme President was the title given to the popularly elected head of state candidate and remained in service from the year 2406 through 2531. The title has a long and vibrant history which explains the the Federal Republic's history and tradition throughout the years. The position was installed by former Supreme Archbishop Father George Bailen who sought to cut the Xzarin Catholic Church's direct influence out of the government. In the general election of 2406, Father Bailen became the nation's first Supreme President. As you can see from what I have informed you, the title served a long tenure, and we are merely reinstating it. May we remind you, the Conservative Party, while ardent supporters of the traditional titles, are not the original authors of them. We are and it was our idea in the first place to reinstate them. So it is not as it may appear, a reverse in their position. Secondly, you seem to be confused regarding the Senate Warden. Let me explain so you may understand. The Senate Warden, much like the Supreme President, was part of a sweeping reform that took place under the initiative of Father Bailen to help invigorate a democratic entity. The Senate Warden was a compromise between Father Bailen and Xzarin Catholic Party leadership for government reform. The Federal Republic was young at the time and the Xzarin Catholic Party was intent on structuring the government as it felt was necessary. The idea behind the Senate Warden was to elect a representative from the legislature, the Senate, to serve as the Supreme President's vice executive and act a way to communicate between the Supreme President's administration and the legislature. The Supreme President would select a runningmate, who was an incumbent Senator, and would form a successful coalition based off of teamwork between the two positions. This slate helped to encourage bi-partisanship and it worked quite well. The Senate Warden maintained order, relations, compromise, and bi-partisan politics and sat over the Senate along with the cabinet. The Senate Warden ensured the will of the Senate was being heard by the Supreme President's administration and that the cabinet, which held power as the most power executive force presiding over the nation's twelve varying departments, was not ignoring its wishes. This created balance of power so that the administration would not shut off the Senate and at the same time the administration would have an ally to accomplish a more progressive agenda in the legislature. This may seem out of line with traditional federal republics and other governmental policies, but variety is the spice of life and we are in no way bound to run our government off of the status quo set by others. Thanks to early leadership of the honorable Father George Bailen and the Xzarin Catholic Party, the Federal Republic was created and established as an idependent, original, sovereign state. FIP Senator Edward Bailen |

Message | Though, the constitution states none of this as the role of HoG. Gotcha, tradition works great in all ways, always in all times and don't question it. I didn't need the history lesson-really all I needed was the constitution. Though, your time is appreciated. |
